چکیده

Abstract Different types of transport in topological semimetals probe the signatures their band topology directly. Using Landuer-Buttiker formalism, we study through a rectangular potential barrier created across junction between two multi-Weyl (MSMs). In contrast to regular Weyl semimetal with charge J = 1, MSMs are allowed have monopole charges > 1. Consequently, structures show highly anisotropic dispersions, being linear exclusively one momentum direction, and exhibiting power law dependence, governed by , other directions. this work, restrict ourselves 1 2, i.e. single- double-Weyl semimetals, our reveals several unconventional features, which unique systems useful as diagnostic tools for such help understand role anisotropies these systems. Quantum transport of disordered Weyl semimetals at the nodal point.

Weyl semimetals are paradigmatic topological gapless phases in three dimensions. We here address the effect of disorder on charge transport in Weyl semimetals. For a single Weyl node with energy at the degeneracy point and without interactions, theory predicts the existence of a critical disorder strength beyond which the density of states takes on a nonzero value. Predictions for the conductiv...

Charge transport in Weyl semimetals.

We study transport in Weyl semimetals with N isotropic Weyl nodes in the presence of Coulomb interactions or disorder at temperature T. In the interacting clean limit, we determine the conductivity σ(ω,T) by solving a quantum Boltzmann equation within a "leading log" approximation and find it to be proportional to T, up to logarithmic factors arising from the flow of couplings. In the nonintera...

Magnetic torque anomaly in the quantum limit of Weyl semimetals

Electrons in materials with linear dispersion behave as massless Weyl- or Dirac-quasiparticles, and continue to intrigue due to their close resemblance to elusive ultra-relativistic particles as well as their potential for future electronics. Yet the experimental signatures of Weyl-fermions are often subtle and indirect, in particular if they coexist with conventional, massive quasiparticles. H...
